Popular Community Pub

The Reiver is located in a large residential area to the west of Carlisle's city centre and is a much-loved community pub popular with the locals. The pub has a busy events calendar, showing live sports and hosting darts and football teams. A key driver of the current trade is their extremely popular live music nights. Such varied entertainment makes the pub a true community pub catering for all.

The Reiver has a pub classic food offer and good range of drinks. This already thriving community business now requires a new operator to maintain and build on existing trade. The outside trading area to the front also adds extra appeal in the summer months.

We are looking for an experienced community operator with a passion for providing excellent service whilst pouring the perfect pint. You should be able to maintain and develop the busy events calendar and experience of live music/bands, along with good local knowledge would be an advantage.

Trading Area & Facilities

Internally, the Reiver is a very large open plan space with different trading areas for drinking, dining and pub games. All areas are serviced by one long bar. The pub has a modern look with a welcoming feel and features a mix of seating including high tables and chairs and comfortable seating. The pub can accommodate 88 covers catered for by the large kitchen with good storage.

Externally, the pub has a modern red brick facade with real kerb appeal. There is an outside trading area to the front with picnic benches to make the most of the summer months and a large car park to the rear.

Private Accommodation

The private accommodation is a good size and consists of three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Where required there will be appropriate works carried out in line with the Star Pubs & Bars Ready to Trade promise.
