The village also attracts a large number of visitors to the nearby Blithfield Reservoir. The Goats Head will become a social hub for the whole community to come together, as well as attracting visitors from further afield to enjoy a premium destination local with a fantastic menu and atmosphere.

An exciting refurbishment will transform The Goats Head into a premium, country-style pub full of character and charm. This grade II listed building has a striking exterior, exposed beams and brick fireplaces. The proposed new design aims to enhance this beautiful site to achieve an overall fresh new look. Extensive interior works, a transformed exterior and the brand new garden will transform The Goats Head into a fantastic local that can be enjoyed by the whole community, as well as becoming a premium dining venue.

The bar servery will be updated with a new backfitting, improved storage and a redesigned storeroom to optimise functionality. It will be decorated in dark tones and raw materials to fit in with the overall stylish design. The dining area will be redecorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers to enjoy the premium food offer. The lighter colour scheme will showcase the architectural features of this beautiful listed building. A specialist catering company will redesign the kitchen with an optimised floor plan. Some new equipment will be added to re-used appliances. The storerooms will be updated where necessary and a new walk-in chiller will be added.

Externally, we are looking to offer a new and unique experience for customers. Certain parts of the gardens will be revealed as the customer journey continues through the garden, adding the element of surprise of discovering the large lawn area. All of these spots will be redecorated in colour and light, contract to the interior feel. There will also be a new bar servery.
