Feilden's Arms, Mellor Brook Set For £400,000 Revamp

MAJOR REFURBISHMENT PLANNED FOR 2022 TO CREATE A FANTASTIC RIBBLE VALLEY VILLAGE INN WITH ROOMS

A major refurbishment of The Feilden’s Arms in Mellor Brook is planned for 2022, with work scheduled to start once a new licensee has been recruited.

The £400,000 revamp will see Heineken-owned Star Pubs & Bars take the country inn to a new level providing villagers with a fantastic local and the wider area with a drive-to food destination pub with a reputation for great quality food and cask ales.

Located at the heart of the village, the investment will create an open plan drinking dining area and see the conservatory replaced with a larger more stylish version with bi-fold doors leading onto a new terrace. The former disused games room will be turned into additional dining space with doors opening onto the terrace, making it ideal for private functions.

The interior will be redecorated, and furniture replaced giving the pub an upmarket, stylish country look and feel – with greenery hanging from the ceiling, open fires, timber clad bar and flag stone flooring.

The pub’s six ensuite bedrooms are to be redecorated and upgraded with flat screen TVs, new comfortable beds and WiFi and the bathrooms refitted with classic style baths and basins and power showers.

Outside a new wraparound terrace seating is being created and the beer garden extended to double seating for alfresco dining to 64.  New planting and festoon lighting will add to the ambience and a new render and signage smarten the exterior.
