The Wilsthorpe Tavern, which will undergo a complete refurbishment is in a great location just off main road in Long Eaton, Nottingham. The site is surrounded by a parade of shops, businesses and housing with added benefit of functions hosted by nearby and leisure centre. All these factors provide the pub with an abundance of potential passing footfall, day and evening.


The planned refurbishment works will completely change the look and feel of this great site, in addition to opening up different income streams through the introduction of a delicious food offer.
Currently the mainly drinks led offer consists of a quiz night on a Wednesday night, to pool matches on a Thursdays and live music most Saturdays.

Trading Area & Facilities

Internally the planned works will modernise the decoration and revitalise the fixtures and fittings. Schedule of works for the site is as follows:-

Kitchen - A new enlarged kitchen will be created which will meet the demands of the new food offer.

Bar Servery - Existing servery will be refurbished to provide the perfect bar to complement the pub's cosy decoration.

Locals Bar & Family Dining Area - A complete redecoration in a new colour scheme creating a warm and welcoming feel including a mix of wooden finishes.

Toilets - Both ladies and gents toilets will be fully refurbished.

Cellar - General repairs will be carried out and a Smart Dispense system installed to reduce waste and improve quality.
Externally the pub's kerb appeal will be significantly improved with a full refurbishment. We are installing a new children's play area, introducing a mix of new and refurbished wooden furniture and adding new foliage and decorative touches.

Signage - New Signage incorporating a distinctive Wilsthorpe Tavern motive will be installed and will reflect the pub's new food offer.

New lighting will be added, illuminating the pub's entrance whilst improving its overall evening kerb appeal.

Private Accommodation

Licensee accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge, bathroom and an office. As part of our 'Ready to Trade' promise, Star Pubs & Bars will ensure your property is in good condition so you can focus your energy on your business.
Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Applicants should also be aware full funding is required of fixtures & fittings for this site.

Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an "Investment Exemption" will be required. The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016).
