The Fellsider was recently refurbished and is a modern-style mainstream pub with food located in the heart of a large residential estate in Whickham, a small, affluent commuter town located on the southern slopes of the lower Tyne Valley. Its close proximity to Tyneside and Wearside, together with easy access to excellent schools, transport, shops (Gateshead Metrocentre 3 miles) and local leisure facilities, means Whickham is popular as a place to live with families.

The pub forms part of a small shopping centre, consisting of a supermarket, newsagent and post office, and enjoys a high profile position on the corner of two busy roads. The local area is characterised by a high proportion of customers who favour a traditional pub offer based on good value food and drink combined with some entertainment, such as TV sport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced community operator.

We are looking for an experienced operator with a proven track record running similar outlets. Previous catering experience is preferred.

Trading Area & Facilities

The large open plan bar is geared towards a mainstream pub with food offer with trade driven by live music and other entertainment. The interior is comfortable yet contemporary with soft fabrics against natural woods.

The Fellsider boasts a good sized catering kitchen which which was recently upgraded as part of the refurbishment and features a theatre style viewing area. The pub is able to host approx. 100 covers with the large internal trading are and externally in the beer garden another 30.

There is ample parking next to the pub that is for share used with the several shops within the vanity of the Fellsider.

The private accommodation at the Fellsider consists of three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom and where required there will be appropriate works carried out in line with the Star Pubs & Bars Ready to Trade promise.
