City Arms Saltney

Untapped Potential!

Occupying a main road location, the City Arms in affluent Chester, is a traditional sports led site. Local shops provide passing trade while residents surrounding the pub and shoppers present a great opportunity to build a loyal customer base. The bar has a standard selection of spirits and beers, leaving ample opportunity to introduce local, quality craft beers and cask ales which Star Pubs & Bars can assist with. Revenue would also be increased with the introduction of a tasty yet simple menu and coffee offer. A timetable of weekly events including supporting local charities, quiz nights, live music and televised sport should be maintained.

Trading Area & Facilities

The entrance of the City Arms opens up onto a feature length bar servery from which the whole of the pub can be accessed so that you can engage with customers right throughout the pub from a central point . That said the extensive open plan trading area is naturally divided into distinct zones which lend themselves to a plethora of activities.

The bays at the front of the pub are ideal for having a quiet drink and socialising with friends or watching the live sport. Indeed, these have been dedicated areas for the dominoes matches that take place during the early part of the week.

To the rear of the pub is a the pool area and more vertical drinking space which allows matches to continue uninterrupted by the social hustle and bustle of the bar.

Finally, there is a great beer terrace to the rear of the property, an ideal spot to catch the late sun on spring and summer evenings.

Private Accommodation

The private accommodation at the City Arms consists of three bedrooms, lounge area, bathroom and toilet with separate kitchen. In line with our Ready to Trade Promise, we will ensure the private accommodation is in good condition, so that you can focus on your business.
