Nestled in the residential area of Waterlooville, Centurion is at the heart of the community and supported by great demographics.  The town of Waterlooville is about 8 miles north of Portsmouth and provides a great commuter spot and only a stone’s throw from the A3 to London. A planned refurbishment will transform this great community local both inside and outside.  The Centurion will have a big focus on sports including darts and pool. It will be the go to place to watch all up and coming sporting events on its large screen Televisions situated throughout the pub. 

Under Just Add Talent the drinks range is centrally driven and will have both leading national brands and local heroes, allowing this pub to excel in its local market.

The food offer will be based on pub classics with a focus on quality and provenance and there is the opportunity to expand this offer with our bolt-on specials and this can be agreed upon as part of our business planning discussions.

Trading Area & Facilities

The proposed refurbishment will create a much better flow throughout the venue. There will be a new decking area at the front leading to the main entrance. A large central bar servery will be the heart of the venue.  Introduction of zones within the interior including a good-sized games area, complete with pool and darts.  A new Kitchen will be installed that has the capacity to cater for 214 covers, 130 indoors and a further 84 outside. The toilets will also be fully upgraded.

Externally, the premises will receive a full new signage scheme with decorations to attract passing trade. New lighting will elevate the façade and help encourage new and old customers to visit. The garden space will also be extended ideal for customers looking to enjoy a relaxing drink or bite to eat on those beautiful summer days. There is a large car park on site with 26 Parking spaces.

Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process. Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an ‘Investment Exemption’ will be required. The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease will not be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016)
