Victory Puts Strongbow Five on Road to Rio

Five amateur footballers from Portsmouth are hoping to show their national counterparts the way to win in Brazil after being chosen to play in the Strongbow EARN IT Challenge, a showpiece match against one of Brazil's finest professional women's football teams.
Watched by team manager Chris Kamara, Brazilian coach Janio Cruz and assistant manager Mark Wright, the team representing Her Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Portsmouth emerged ahead of hundreds of 5-a-side hopefuls to win the football awayday of a lifetime – a trip to Rio de Janeiro to play in the Strongbow EARN IT challenge.
Michel Gillane, Brand Director-Cider at Strongbow brand owner Heineken said: "The Pompey lads have played together for nearly a decade and they really stood out from the field at our rigorous trial day in London. They displayed an impressive array of talent on and off the pitch – displaying levels of banter and team solidarity that matched their considerable football skills- and we wish them well when they take on the Strongbow Challenge in later this month."
