Up for New Bar of the Year is The Jolly Botanist. A specialist gin bar, this stylish establishment had an extensive refurbishment before opening and this has definitely paid off, with the bar now a real hub in the West End of Edinburgh. Overall, there’s upwards of 70 craft and small batch gins on offer from around the globe including 14 Scottish gins. The bar’s feeling is quirky and relaxed with a large dining area that extends outside the front of the venue to allow for alfresco dining.

Lessee Iain was delighted to hear the news: “It’s a real honour and it’s been an amazing year seeing my vision come to life.”

We’re also delighted that Ninety-Nine Bar and Kitchen in Aberdeen is up for Cocktail Bar of the Year – it’s a buzzing prohibition style bar with a fantastic array of cutting edge cocktails served alongside the classics.

In the Customer Service category, The Butchershop Bar & Grill in Glasgow has been nominated– they’ve garnered fantastic reviews on and offline and are known for their incredible attention to detail.

Voters nominated their favourite pubs online, as well as mystery shoppers visiting the pubs, and now it’s just up to the Judges to decide. The winners are announced on 11th of August so best of luck to all those up for nomination!
