The Chequers Inn is in the heart of the village of Cropwell Bishop, East of Nottingham. The pub is well placed to capitalise on Cropwell Bishop's growing population. Eighty-five new homes are being built 200 yards away from the Chequers Inn. There is little competition with only two pubs within a half-mile radius.

The pub had a major refurbishment Four Years ago. This proposed refresh will include contemporary decor and a more diverse offering. It will make it more appealing to a broad range of customers throughout the day. The new coffee and tea room area will attract parents and shoppers. While the enhanced garden will appeal to families looking for a midweek or weekend treat. Improvements to the bar and dining areas will still see the pub keep its loyal local customers.

The separate dining room creates a formal dining experience. While the bar offers more relaxed dining. The dining area will be a focal point of the refurbishment, increasing internal covers to 85.

There is a garden patio to the rear with a heated, sheltered area. The car park sits to the side of the building and can accommodate around 25 cars.
